Update 7/12/05: Updated list of PESA members. Imagine if you could, 2 child predators on the list, Scott Samuel (scott_honestycomfounder) and Sandra List (gingertree, greentigerbeads), both on the psychological verge of who knows what.
Update 7/11/05: Jay Senese (onecentcds, jayandmarie) has given notice to other PESA members that they have been outed, and gives them a warning, as if they can't search Google:

----------- In response to the defections at Ethical Technologies, and the allegations about its CEO, Scott Samuel, the PESA, Professional eBay Sellers Alliance) group (organized by Jay Sense, "onecentcds" and "jayandmarie") is on damage control protecting Scott and Ethical Technologies (aka "Auction Ethics"). Jay is a member of PESA, and 2 of Ethical Tools have Jay's business name assigned to it, as well as having a financial ambition in the tools' success.
They have banned Ross Wright, member of PESA for publishing the comments and information about Ethical Technologies, its employee defections, and lurid details about its leader, Scott Samuel.
PESA was originally called the "eBay Elite", but it was decided to change the pretentious name a year or so ago.
Folks,
The tools are working and I have been promised by Scott that they will continue to work.
He has also promised me that I will receive sufficient notice if for some reason the tools were to be taken down so that we can make arrangements necessary to continue using the tools.
I have received many e-mails from folks that are concerned about Ethical. You don't want to lose the use of the tools. I'm with you! The bottom line is that the tools do work and do increase your sales. Many PESA members are imbedded into Ethical and have a genuine concern.
Many of the things, about Ethical and Scott, that you and I have been hearing and reading lack substantial credibility and frankly are somewhat outrageous. Obviously Ethical is going through some growing pains as they move from a start up to a viable e-commerce business. Friends are being let go to make room for professional folks to come in and take Ethical to the next level. There are some hard decisions being made.
There are emotions on both sides of the table. The simple fact is that Scott built Ethical with friends. Those friends have been very helpful in getting Ethical started. But those friends lack the experience to move Ethical to the next level.
It's a tough choice. Does Ethical keep the friends and watch the business flounder and suffer because those friends simply do not know what to do? Or does Ethical cut those friends and bring folks in that know how to build a multi-million dollar company? In the end it's a business decision.
Many of you know that I work with the Ethical sell through tool. Those of you that are already signed up for this tool should see no interruption in your service other than the minor normal outages mostly related to the eBay API that you have seen in the past.
At this time, Ethical is not signing new customers for this tool. However, if you were in process of signing, I would be willing to help you move forward with this and help get you activated.
Following is a partial list of PESA members. As a group, these people condone Scott's employment and business practices.
PESA Board of Directors Joseph Cortese - Founder & Chairman of the Board NobleSpirit
Jonathan Garriss - Executive Director Gotham City Online
Barry Anderson - Director Asset Recovery, LLC
Shelly Hudson - Director Shoetime
Brandon Dupsky - Director Sell 2 All
Committee Chairs Marketing - David Yaskulka, Blueberry Boutique Events - Tony Cicalese, wegotthebeats Membership - Michael Jansma, Gem Affair Moderators - Jay Senese, Jayandmarie Liaison - David Hardin, Shoetime Ethics - John Stack, ACityDiscount
Here is another list, probably not complete. Personally, I'm adding all these sellers to my "do not buy from" / "do not sell to" list on eBay. I'll convince my sisters, brother, and in-laws to do the same. Caveat Emptor indeed.
